The day of your appointment, you will come to the clinic and have a virtual appointment through a secure telemedicine portal with one of our virtual medical providers.
The GLP-1 Semaglutide is a once-a-week subcutaneous injection, the dose is stepped up gradually to help reduce potential side effects and generally takes 12-17 weeks to achieve max dose but may vary among patients and how their individual body responds to medication.
We have a licensed pharmacist available in clinic to answer and discuss any medication related questions or concerns during your treatment
A body composition scanner works by (BIA) or Bio Impedance Analysis, which works by sending a safe low intensity electrical current through the body via tactile points on the machine (hands & feet) and takes about 60 seconds.
Impedance varies with tissue structure, tissue composition, tissue health, and signal frequency. The resistance to flow of the alternating current determines the difference between muscle mass, fat mass (including visceral and subcutaneous), water and mineral.
By updating your body composition scan every 4-6 weeks during treatment, we can determine how the body’s composition is changing.
